The duo from New Orleans began writing music while attending University. $crim and Ruby Da Cherry uploaded their works on Soundcloud where they gained a massive niche. Garnering millions of streams on the platform, the Suicideboys began performing in the underground rap circuit. Soon they founded their own music label G*59 Records. This independent record label soon grew into carrying a total of six artists, including Night Lovell, Chetta, and Germ. Suicideboys not only created a hip-hop subgenre with their rap infused with punk, trap, and metal, they are pretty much the first ones to break into the mainstream scene.
