Chicago – The Band & The Doobie Brothers will be hitting the road together for a co-headlining tour that sees these bona fide iconic bands heading to Molson Amphitheatre on Wednesday 19th July 2017! The veteran acts will be playing hits from their prolific careers:
“The perfect summer line-up, playing dozens of the best-loved rockin’ pop classics,” enthused Chicago co-founder Robert Lamm. “I’m happy to be hangin’ out with our ‘Doobie’ friends … a great band.”
“We know from past experience what a great show this is going to be for the audience,” added Doobies co-founder Patrick Simmons. “I’m sure there will be some fun musical surprises along the way too. It’s going to be a great summer.”
The Doobie Brothers are an American rock band that formed in 1970, originally playing mainstream rock and roll with elements of folk, country and R&B. Ever changing and diversifying their sound over the years, with different frontmen at the helm, The Doobie Brothers have incorporated elements of soul in their genre-defying music, as well as country, as seen on their most recent album, which features some of country music's biggest superstars, including Blake Shelton, Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley and Toby Keith. They have sold over 40 million albums worldwide, and have been a part of the music industry for over fifty years, earning themselves four Grammy Awards along the way.
