Blues-tinged Canadian rockers The Tragically Hip will be touching down at Molson Amphitheatre on Wednesday 1st July! The five-piece are celebrating the re-release of their hugely successful 1992 album Fully Completely with the extensive (recently lengthened) Fully and Completely North American Tour! The Tragically Hip (AKA The Hip) are a Canadian five-piece rock band formed in Kingston Ontario in 1983. Established by five childhood friends; Rob Baker, Gordon Downie, Johnny Fay, Paul Langlois and Gord Sinclair, the band were signed by MCA Records in 1987 and released their eponymous debut EP that same year. Their first studio album was released two years later, igniting the public's interest and putting them on the map, particularly in their native Canada. In the years that followed, The Tragically Hip released another eleven studio albums, earning themselves two diamond certifications and twenty Number One hits., as well as 14 Juno awards. They were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2005 and have also received the Order of Canada, as well as honorary degrees from the Royal Conservatory of Music.
