Summer of Loud Tour

Hey Toronto, there’s a new heavy metal festival coming to your city this summer!

The new ‘Summer of Loud Tour’ will be coming to you on July 15th at the Budweiser Stage, debuting with a lineup you cannot, and should definitely not miss. The festival has over 20 tour dates across the nation and is expected to be the new favourite event amongst the headbangers. 

Debuting the tour, are four of the most iconic party and mosh pit starters of the current metal and hardcore scene. Co-headlining the tour are Beartooth, I Prevail, Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive. They will be supported by an array of legends and new blood bands such as the hardcore giants Devil Wears Prada, Amity Affliction, Kingdom of Giants, Dark Divine and Alpha Wolf.

Parkway Drive

From the basement to global fandom and tours, the Australian band Parkway Drive have consistently been crowd favourites for over 20 years. Since their formation back in 2003, the metalcore band has released seven studio albums, with the last one released in 2022 titled ‘Darker Still’ which won an APRA Award. Parkway Drive, known as “Australia’s masters of heavy” have top hits such as ‘Prey,’ ‘Carrion,’ and ‘Darker Still.’ Their worldwide fanbase gives them up to 2 Million monthly listeners with top tracks reaching close to 100 Million plays.

Killswitch Engage

Killswitch Engage is an American metalcore band from Westfield, Massachusetts. Formed in 2000, the band has since become one of the fan favourites in the Heavy Metal and Metalcore scene. The band has nine albums under their belt with their 2002 studio album ‘Alive Or Just Breathing’ being “The Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of the Decade.” Killswitch Engage is no stranger to awards, certificates, and honours either. The band won the “Best Metal Performance” Grammy Award back in 2005 and 2014 and gold certificates for their hit songs ‘End of Heartache,’ and ‘As Daylight Dies.’ 

I Prevail

I Prevail, is an American Hard Rock and Metalcore band from Southfield, Michigan. The band was formed in 2013 and released their debut EP ‘Heart vs. Mind’ the following year, in 2014. So far, I Prevail has released four studio albums in total, with their third studio album ‘Trauma’ nominated for the Grammy Award for “Best Rock Album” of the year. The band’s popular hits include ‘Breaking Down.’ ‘Hurricane,’ and Grammy Awards Nominated ‘Bow Down’ for “Best Metal Performance” in 2019.

Beartooth

Beartooth is a Metalcore band from America, founded by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Shomo in 2012. At first, Shomo was the only member of the band and performed all the instruments for studio recordings until four other members joined. In 2013, Beartooth signed to Red Ball Records and since have released six studio albums, with their 2021 album titled ‘Below’ making its way into Best Rock and Metal Albums of the Year. The band’s most popular singles include ‘The Past is Dead,’ ‘Fed Up,’ and ‘In Between.’ Beartooth’s music refuses to be silenced, it’s emotionally raw and infused with the best elements of rock. The band’s music is unapologetically melodic, clean and alluring.
