At the age of eleven, Lil Wayne met Birdman, otherwise known as Bryan Williams, who was a rapper as well as the founder of Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne used to record free style raps on Birdman’s answering machine, and Bryan Williams would go on to mentor the young man.
