Country megastar Dierks Bentley has just announced his 33-concert ‘Broken Branches Tour.’ The tour comes amidst the excitement of his forthcoming eleventh studio album and will see super special guests Zach Top and The Band Loula take over the Budweiser Stage. The 49-year-old Phoenix native will kickstart the trek in Camden at New Jersey’s Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on 7 August. From there, the “What Was I Thinkin'” hitmaker will move onto Buffalo’s Darien Lake Amphitheater on 14 August, Holmdel at New Jersey’s PNC Bank Arts Center on 15 August, New York’s Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on 16 August, and NYC’s Madison Square Garden on 28 August.
As well as this highly anticipated road trip, Dierks Bentley also has a number of one-offs and festival dates in the pipeline, like Nashville’s ‘Grand Ole Opry Live Celebration’ on 19 March with Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, and more.
“I’m 20(ish) years into doing this, and I’ve seriously never been more excited about a tour,” Dierks Bentley said in a statement. “We had Zach out for a few shows last summer, and I knew right away that we had to do more together. He loves the same kind of country music I do, and he’s got the bluegrass chops to hang with the best of ‘em in a jam. I’ve got a million ideas for the set list rolling around in my head. It’ll be fun to figure out how to make it all come to life with a new album and new production.”
Although Dierks Bentley hasn’t officially announced a new album release date as of yet, he did issue the song “She Hate Me” on Valentine’s Day which tells the tale of a woman who is no longer seduced by his classic country charms.
