Following two albums where the band went on an experimental phase, ONE OK ROCK is revisiting their roots with “DETOX.” A full-on rock & roll banger, it comprises 11 tracks produced by frontman Taka, alongside a lineup of Grammy Award-winning record producers: Rob Cavallo, Dan Lancaster and Pete Nappi. Packed with both melancholic melodies, anthemic choruses, and euphoric energies, it’s a signature ONE OK ROCK record. These J-rock veterans definitely have a knack for top-tier rock-out-loud vibes.
Marking their 11th studio release, it’s a highly-anticipated follow-up to 2022’s “Luxury Disease.” This time around, they’re stripping themselves free from the clutter, rocking out tunes like it’s their first album ever made. Hailing from Tokyo, Japan, this J-rock powerhouse was formed in 2005. Composed of Takahiro Moriuchi, Toru Yamashita, Ryota Kohama, and Tomoya Kanki, these legends have been rocking it out since their 2007 debut through “Zeitakubyō.” In 2012, the band gained international attention when their “The Beginning” created huge waves in the global rock scene. To date, it’s their most popular song with 225+ million views on YouTube and keeps their Spotify streams growing even bigger. Since then, they’ve started releasing dual Japanese & English albums, creating hits after every hit. From “35xxxv,” “Ambitions,” to “Eye of the Storm,” these rockers know how to ROCK. Some of their big hits include “Deeper Deeper/Nothing Helps,” “Mighty Long Fall/Decision,” “Stand Out Fit In,” “Renegades", “Dystopia,” and “Wasted Nights.”
