Over the years, Omar Apollo has cooked up his own signature brand of R&B with elements of soul, funk, hip hop, latin music, trap, and bedroom pop. He’s so talented at what he does that he’s loved far and wide, and has industry-wide recognition. Omar Apollo has several awards lining his trophy shelf, including a GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist, two impressive Latin GRAMMY nominations for Record of the Year and Best Alternative Song (“Te Olvidaste,” featuring C. Tangana), Variety’s Future Icon accolade, and most recently a RIAA-certified platinum record for the viral smash hit “Evergreen (You Didn’t Deserve Me at All).”
At just 11 years old, Omar Apollo picked up a guitar and hasn’t looked back since. He burst onto the scene in the 2010s with a pair of EPs, including 2018s Stereo and 2019s Friends, earning him critical acclaim. The R&B sensation was such a hit with listeners that he went on to perform on prime time TV programs, such as Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Omar Apollo’s hotly awaited debut album, IVORY, landed in 2022 and launched him to unprecedented success. Crossing genre lines and language barriers, the record showcases huge musical diversity. IVORY juxtaposes heartfelt ballads with Latin trap and alternative rock, and it’s a blast! At the end of that year, Omar Apollo wrapped up another sold-out tour and performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk series, the iconic Coachella festival, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Good Morning America. And now, the one and only Omar Apollo is returning to the stage for another history-making show! With support from Kevin Abstract, Malcolm Todd, and Ravyn Lenae on select dates, Omar Apollo’s God Said No World Tour kicks off on July 15 in Melbourne and makes its way to the amazing Budweiser Stage on September 4.
